About Us
The International Ethiopian Evangelical Church is a vibrant community of believers in the DC Metropolitan Area serving thousands of Ethiopians and Eritrean nationals.IEEC was formed nearly 27 years ago by a group of migrant Ethiopians who lived in the Washington DC metropolitan area. At the time the church consisted of less than 10 people attending a weekly bible study. The church has grown since then with several branch churches in the U.S. (Maryland, Virginia, New York, Florida, South Carolina) and internationally (Egypt, Lebanon, Djibouti, and Ethiopia).
Pastor Hanfere Aligaz is one of the original founders of the church and serves as the Senior Pastor of IEEC.
